Superbook (1981)

Superbook is an anime television series produced by Tatsunoko Productions in Japan in conjunction with the Christian Broadcasting Network in the United States. The series chronicled the events of the Bible's Old and New Testaments in its 52 episode run. The first 26 episodes aired from October 1, 1981 to March 29, 1982. This was released and aired in the Philippines alongside The Flying House series.

The story begins at the home of a young boy named Christopher Peepers who discovers the magical Bible "Superbook". Superbook opens its pages and speaks to him and his friend Joy. They are then both magically transported back in time o the early events of the Old Testament. The two are accompanied by Christopher's toy robot Gizmo, who once transported becomes full-sized and comes alive, although he still needs to be wound up regularly.

In the first episode, Chris and Joy were cleaning out the attic and finds Superbook for the first time. Superbook then sends Christopher, Joy and Gizmo back in time to the Garden of Eden to experience the story of Adam and Eve.
